- Guided hike up Pedra Bonita.
- Guided hike to the Agulhinha da Gávea Peak.
The hike up to Pedra Bonita is relatively easy and can be done by anybody without major difficulties. This trail is especially recommended for those who don't have much hiking experience as it's not too physically demanding - it only takes around 35 minutes to reach the top. The walk begins at the Estrada das Canoas, in São Conrado.
Pedra Bonita stands 696m off the ground, and is located in sector C of Tijuca National Park. At the top a large stone plateau gives access to captivating views of the Pedra da Gávea (842m in height), the largest seafront monolith in the world. You'll also have stunning views of São Conrado beach, the Two Brothers Mountain, Rio's south zone, Barra da Tijuca and Tijuca Forest. This vast landscape results in a particularly beautiful sunset.
On the way down, it's also worth taking a look at the free flight runway, where the paragliders and hang-gliders take off to fly down to the Pepino beach in São Conrado.
During the tour, you'll also learn about the native wildlife of the region along with a bit of Tijuca Forest's history. Book your tour now!
